This summer from 01. – 22. of August our Bioarchaeological Field school was held in Rašaška (eastern Croatia). Excavation took place at Knights Templar church from 13th – 16th century.
During their stay in the field school, the participants went through complete fieldwork training, they got familiar with excavation methodology, while during laboratory practices they acquired a high level of knowledge of bioarchaeological methods (human anatomy, determination of sex, age and height, recognition of markers of occupational stress, dental anthropology, work with cremated remains, funerary archaeology, dental anthropology, paleoradiology and many others).
